The obtaining of highly selected products, which standard is attested by a number of certifications, results from the strictness in the fields and at every stage of the industry.
Coplana Premium Peanuts' products are certified by BRCGS (Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standard), a worldwide quality standard which assesses not only suppliers from the retailer market, but also the structure of the industrial plants and the capacity for production of a safe product. Since 2010 - year when Coplana was certified by BRC- its status is Grade AA, the highest mark by the Standard.
The processes are monitored and the peanut undergoes laboratory analyses during various processing stages, in keeping with stringent standards and requirements by each industry or use type.
The following are among the quality programs adopted by Coplana: "Good Manufacturing Practices" and "Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points". Importers buy the products safely and always with the same quality level.
In April 2014, Coplana was granted the Kosher certification, which determines the standards for marketing with the Jewish Community.
In 2012, the Cooperative was admitted as a member of the Sedex - Supplier Ethical Data Exchange, a nongovernmental organization, located in England, kept by 150 countries. The Sedex is a well-known database which promotes transparency in the corporation relationships around the world. The information contained in this database follows the ETI - Ethical Trade Initiative, a program which sets out the standards in the environmental, social, labor legislation, and ethical/commercial issues. The member companies from time to time go through external audits, and the results can be accessed by the public.
In June 2019, another accomplishment was the Pro-Peanut seal awarded by the Brazilian Association of Chocolate, Peanut and Candy Industry (Abicab), certifying the production of safe and Aflatoxin-free food. With this certification, Coplana consolidates its position as a company committed to the most rigorous Quality and Food Safety standards.
In 2019, Coplana also opened a new market producing foods considered pure according to the precepts of Islam. The newly acquired Halal seal allowed the Grain Unit to supply peanuts to the Muslim communities of several countries, including those in the Persian Gulf.
